New: Opinion Counts

Here's a little sentiment analysis Christmas treat for you!

We've added a pair of tabs to the Subject Opinions report. You can now see a count of every combination of subject and opinion (both as a number and a percentage) as found in text responses, together with the split between positive and negative. You can sort by any column, depending on what you're interested in. The other tab shows the split of positive and negative opinions by region/area/location. Here are some sample screenshots:

Report on comments for a longer period

We have extended the period of time for which text comments appear in the Guest Comments, Assessor Comments and Dish Comments reports. Previously these were archived after 6 months, but this has been extended to 12 months.

New text "visit summary" reporting

The Assessor Comments report has a new tab containing visit summaries from mystery visits and delivery audits. Like other pages, this is easily exportable. The visit summaries are displayed along with the location, visit score and pass/fail (if applicable). So you can easily browse an overview of all recent visits/audits.

Split navigation for heat maps

The list of heat maps was getting a bit long. So we've split it out to make it easier to find what you're looking for. "Visit heat maps" are all at the level of a whole visit. Those in the "Question heat maps" section contain question level data. We have also moved the Answer Analysis report - this was previously under Overview Charts but is really a heat map.

Improved visit report photos

If you prefer to view photos in the visit report PDF (rather than browse the gallery on The Hub), there are two options: view as thumbnails or as photos. We have improved the latter option so that the images are larger and have treble the resolution. We also fixed a bug where they would sometimes overlap.

More heat map improvements

The heat maps for reviews, survey scores and audit scores have all been updated. Tabs showing 'By Period' and 'By location' allow you to to switch between months, weeks, quarters, day of week and no grouping for the selected date range. In addition, the 'By Location' tab makes it easy to drill up to areas, regions and brands. For audit scores and survey scores, there's also a 'Day Part' option which shows the hours for each day part (example shown below). The content has also been tidied up, so it should be easier for you to quickly navigate to the statistics that you're interested in (and export if you like).

Improvements to dish heat maps

We've made some extensive updates to the dish heat maps report to make it easier to navigate. Three tabs give you the option of seeing measures by dish, measures by location, and dishes by period. You can now see all dish KPIs for any selected date range. There are new interactions to enable you to easily choose whether to group results by location, area, week, month and quarter (see image below). You can filter by dish and dish type and, of course, you can export all the data. Tasty!

Updated Review Ratings page

The Review Ratings page has had a makeover. You can choose whether to view the rating and response charts by quarters, months, weeks or days for any date range in the last 2 years. These trend charts now have the full width of the page. The leaderboard can be ascending or descending. A visit source filter has been added to all pages and various styling improvements have been added.

Introducing Opinion Mining

We are excited to announce the introduction of Opinion Mining. This is a text analysis technique that uses natural language processing to find out what subjects guests are talking about and how they are describing those subjects (i.e. their opinions). In addition, you can track the positive and negative sentiment for each subject and see how that changes over time. Best of all, there's no extra charge! It's currently available for clients with Feedback Sites and Review Management. Find the interactive report in the Text Analytics section in The Hub, and reach out to your Client Success Manager if you would like further guidance.

Barometer and dials added to dashboard

In our recent update to the dashboard, some of you missed the barometer. So we've added a trend line for this, as well as 5 dials at the top that illustrate performance against the brand average for barometer, NPS, feedback, reviews and audits. These also change colour depending on how good/bad the score is. Watch this space for more interactive dashboard features to follow.
